Dingwall Family Adventure
As many of our clients have experienced, a successful and fulfilling career can sometimes mean relocating. With a better opportunity on the horizon—picking up your life and family and moving to another city or state comes with a roller coaster of emotions! Jason and Amanda Dingwall are second generation clients here at KFM. They recently made the move to central California where Jason is now a Divisional Manager for In-N-Out. Amanda is home with their two boys, 1 and 3, and it has been a wild ride so far!
Jason started working for In-N-Out when he was 16. He worked through college and when he finished school, he went into leadership in 2011. He managed a few stores in the area, then got to work all over San Diego and the Desert developing teams and serving leaders for 2 years. Most recently, before he got promoted, he managed the flagship store—the first restaurant in Baldwin Park, for almost 5 years.
Amanda and Jason met in Maui at an In-N-Out Incentive Trip. Amanda had just started working for the company the week prior. She was new and didn’t know many people, but she and Jason connected and started dating as soon as they got home. A year later they were married!
When Jason and Amanda found out he would be relocating at the end of 2022 they were shocked. They are very close with both sets of their parents, and both lived close by. They never pictured moving away from family as part of their story. With a newborn at home and the holidays approaching, they prayed for clarity and direction. While this would be a career growth opportunity for Jason, they were very unsure if this was the right thing for the whole family.
They decided to take the leap of faith and sold their home. The day after Christmas 2022 they moved into temporary housing and put most of their belongings in storage. They were looking at house after house, wrote several offers, and got nothing. Finally, this summer they had an offer accepted on a new build that just finished!
There were still more bumps along the way… difficulty with the moving company definitely caused some stress. However, they are finally in their new home and getting settled just in time for the holidays this year! Jason and Amanda learned to trust in the Lord like never before and are so thankful for the journey He has and is bringing them on.
